Save cards with the browser extension

Install the Stacklist extension and save any page with one click.

Written by Kyle Hudson

The browser extension is the fastest way to save cards. One click from any page, no tab-switching.

Install

Pick your browser:

Click Add to [Browser], confirm the permissions prompt, and the Stacklist icon appears next to your browser's search bar.

If you don't see the icon in your toolbar, click the puzzle piece icon and pin Stacklist so it stays visible. A pinned extension is a used extension.

Save a card

  1. Navigate to any page you want to save.

  2. Click the Stacklist icon in your toolbar.

  3. Review the auto-filled title, description, and image.

  4. Add tags and pick a stack.

  5. Click Save.

The card is immediately in your stack. You can edit or move it later if you change your mind.

Notes by browser

  • Safari: Installation goes through the App Store, not the browser. Same flow otherwise.

  • Arc: Arc is Chromium-based, so the Chrome extension works — install from the Chrome Web Store.

  • Mobile browsers: The extension is desktop-only. On your phone, install the Stacklist app for iOS or Android and use the share sheet — see Save cards from your phone.

A few tips

  • Tag at save time. Five seconds of tagging now beats fifteen minutes of cleanup later.

  • Pick a stack before saving. If you're not sure where it belongs, use Inbox or a catch-all stack and move it later.

  • Works on everything with a URL. Articles, videos, product pages, maps, Airbnb listings, Google Docs, GitHub repos.
