Earn with Stacklist: the referral program

Share Stacklist, earn 50% commission for as long as your referral stays paying — up to $500 per referral.

Written by Kyle Hudson

If you like Stacklist, sharing it pays.

Every Stacklist account comes with a personal referral link. Anyone who signs up for a paid plan using your link earns you 50% of their subscription revenue — monthly, for as long as they keep paying. You can earn up to $500 per referral.

Where to find your link

  1. Open the user menu in the Stacklist dashboard (click your profile area in the sidebar).

  2. Click Earn up to $500.

  3. A pop-up opens with your personal referral link (e.g., stacklist.cello.so/yourcode).

The link is yours — it doesn't expire, it doesn't change, and it works anywhere.

Share it

From the same pop-up, you can:

  • Copy the invite link and paste it anywhere — email, Slack, your newsletter, your website.

  • Share directly to X, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp, or email — one click each.

  • Generate a QR code for real-world sharing (events, printed materials, business cards).

Anyone who clicks your link, signs up, and starts a paid Stacklist plan is credited to you automatically.

How the commission works

  • 50% of the referred user's subscription revenue, paid monthly for as long as they remain a paying customer.

  • Up to $500 per referral — once your cumulative earnings from a single referral hit $500, that referral stops generating commissions. New referrals start fresh.

  • Paid plans only. Free accounts don't trigger a commission.

A Team-plan referral earns you $49.50/month. An Agency-plan referral earns $124.50/month. Over time, a few active referrals add up.

Set up your payout

To get paid, add your payout details in the same pop-up:

  1. Click Update payment details (or Payment details on first visit).

  2. Set up three sections: - Payout method — choose Venmo or PayPal, add your username or email. - Personal information — your name, address, and country. - Tax information — required for compliance; fill in the form that matches your region (W-9 for US, W-8 for non-US).

  3. Save.

You can update any of these later. Changes apply to future payouts.

When you get paid

Payouts happen automatically. When a referred customer pays their Stacklist subscription, your 50% commission shows up in your rewards — and pays out to your Venmo or PayPal within 3 business days.

Track your earnings

The same pop-up has a Rewards tab showing:

  • Total rewards earned to date

  • Every individual commission, labeled by the referred customer's domain

  • Payout status

If you see commissions stacking up and want to move your payout method or update your info, hit Update payment details anytime.

A few tips

  • Share where your audience is. The QR code works well in physical spaces; LinkedIn and email work well for B2B audiences.

  • Lead with a story, not a link. "Here's the tool I use to keep my list of best restaurants" beats "sign up using my link."

  • Think compounding. Ten referrals at $25/month each is $3,000/year — more if they upgrade to higher tiers.
