Account deletion is permanent. It removes you, your stacks, your cards, and any workspaces you own. Other people who collaborated on your content lose access too. Read this article fully before you delete.
Before you delete
A few things to consider — and a few alternatives that might be what you actually want:
Cancel the subscription instead if your goal is to stop paying. Canceling drops you to read-only at the end of the period; your stacks stay. See Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
Make your profile private if your goal is to take down public content. Switching the profile to private hides everything from the public web without deleting it.
Export your data first if you might want it later. Once deletion runs, it can't be undone. See Export your data.
What happens when you delete
Your stacks and cards are removed from Stacklist within 24 hours.
Public links to your stacks stop working — anyone who has them gets a 404.
Workspaces you own (Team plan and above) are deleted along with all stacks inside them. Other members lose access.
Stacks you collaborated on but don't own stay with the owner. Your name is removed from the collaborator list; cards you contributed remain.
Custom domain stops resolving immediately. The DNS still points at Stacklist; you can repurpose the domain anywhere.
Active subscriptions are canceled. Stripe stops billing on the next renewal; no refund for the current period unless you're on a yearly plan with unused months left.
Email address is freed up — you can sign up with the same email later if you want.
Backups are purged within 30 days per our retention policy.
Delete your account
Go to Account Settings (click your avatar, top right).
Open the Data tab.
Scroll to Delete account.
Click Delete my account.
Confirm by typing your email address and clicking Permanently delete.
You're signed out immediately. The deletion runs in the background and completes within 24 hours.
Can I undo it?
For 7 days after you confirm, you can email [email protected] from the deleted account's email and we can restore the account. After 7 days, deletion is permanent.
Team and Org plans
If you're an admin or owner on a Team, Agency, or Organization plan, deleting your account also deletes the organization unless you transfer ownership first. To transfer:
In Workspace Settings, find the Members tab.
Find the member you want to make the new owner and click Make owner.
Confirm. They become the org owner; you stay as a member or admin until you delete your individual account.
